Newtown Woods (Tramore, County Waterford, Ireland): The upper road leads to the Guillamene swimming cove. Until the early 1980s, the Guillamene was a gentlemen's only swimming area. The "men-only" sign has been preserved as a reminder of times past. Women and children were expected to bathe at Ladies slip beach in Tramore town.
The lower road leads to the Newtown cove, historically, a small, sheltered cove for a few fishing boats, nowadays - a very popular swimming area for locals and visitors.
